History of Vue.js:
In contrast to other monolithic frameworks, Vue.js is designed from the ground up to be progressively adoptable. The main library focuses only on the view layer and is easy to pick up and integrate with other libraries. Vue is also perfectly capable of delivering sophisticated single-page web applications.
Vue.js was created by Evan You, a Google developer who, after working on multiple Angular.js projects.
Installation can be done with simple command line listed below:
Make sure you have node.js installed in your current environment!!, if not ?, please install it first !!
Install vue cli globally using below command:
npm install -g vue-cli
This command will download vue-cli globally. Think of it as if you were buying a tool that you bought once (free in our case) and can use it any number of times. So this command is not required to set up another project from the next time. So the number of steps to set up any new project is simply 4!
Use the below syntax:
Syntax: vista init < template-name > < project-name >
example: vista init webpack-simple new-Vueproject
The above command draws a webpack template, prompts for some details, and generates a project in the new-project directory / folder.
Change directory to your project folder by using below command
Now, run below command to Install all the dependencies required by the template as listed in package.json file. This step may take a minute or two to get all the dependencies.
Finally, run you application using below command
npm run dev
Above command will start your local http server, open the browser and your default hosted web page will be shown.
Congrats! your project is live !!
